I have the following parts:

-Zalman 9700LED CPU Cooler
-2x1GB of G. Skill DDR2-800 HZ Ram
-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor
-Asus P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP Motherboard

And, here are the mini-reviews I did on these products:

Zalman

The Zalman is an amazing cooler. It looks great and works great. The mounting bracket is sturdy and secure, while the fan can be a whisper or a roar; depending on the fan controller setting.

Pro:

-Cools Good
-Looks Good
-Adjustablility

Con:

-Price, $80 MSRP

G. Skill

Where do I start? The G. Skill can reach DDR2-1200 without too much of a problem. Secondly, it runs cool and comes with awesome heatspreaders. Oh, and, you get a Lamborghini Box.

Pro
:

-Looks Sick
-Amazing Value
-Great Overclocker

Con
:

-None?

Intel

I mean come on... It's Intel. The box looks sick, the processor is amazing, and WOW the speed is awesome (I haven't even booted Windows yet, but, I know, already). The only "downside" is the stock CPU Cooler, but, AMD's is just as bad.

Pro:

-Great Deal
-Four Cores
-Good OC'er

Con
:

-Heat

Asus

I got the Asus motherboard, and was amazed. The heatpipe cooling is awesome, the box is sweet. The layout is good, the colors are nice, the perportions are right (the ram isn't right next to the CPU Cooler, the PCI-Express 16x Lanes are spread apart, etc.).

Pro
:

-Great OC'er
-Sweet Board
-P35 Northbridge
-ICH9R Southbridge

Con:

-Price? Maybe...

Idle is around 40-43C, depending on the Zalman's fan's speed and the ambient temperatures (which lingers around 24-28C). My load is around 54-56C all four cores at 100%.

Pictures are posted in the 12th post.

More to come!

21s is ok, though I'm getting about 13.xxxs with my E6600 at 3.6Ghz. Bear in mind that SuperPi only runs on one core though and you may not be able to hit 3.6Ghz on your Q6600. Either way, 21s is still faster than any K8 AMD.

To be honest, if you only game at 1280x1024 I think you'll be happy with a single 8800GTS 320MB.

Use the Print Screen key on your keyboard and then paste it into paint.

8800GTX: I will upgrading to a 1680x1050 20" Widescreen Display, as well.
When you hit Print Screen, it just captures the entire screen and puts it on your copy/paste thingy, so just open up paint / photoshop / anything and hit paste and save it wherever you want.

My pictures are too big, how do I make the files smaller?.

Just use Photoshop or Paintshop to resize the image, or the selection tool in Paint to resize it if you don't have any image editing software.

PhotoBucket free image hosting allows you to resize images accordingly.

I'd advise using Photoshop if you have it, if not upload them to a free image hosting site like Photobucket and post a link to the image..

If you have Photoshop, do the following:
1) Open Photoshop
2) File >> New
3) Push Ok (if you have saved a screenshot on your clipboard, Photoshop should detect this and automatically open a new document at that size)
4) Edit >> Paste (Or Ctrl+Z)
5) File >> Save For Web (or Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S)
6) Click okay -- It will save it as a high quality GIF image. (The image should be about 35kb)

I do this all the time everyday for my job, it's a great way to take screenshots that aren't HUGE! Microsoft Paint saves these images as a BMP, which are huge. When you try to save the screenshot as a GIF w/ Paint, it only saves with like 16 colors, and it looks horrible. Photoshop can save up to 256 colors.

Good luck!

Thanks guys! The pictures are below, I included Task Manager and System Properties to verify it was a Quad, and I put the text document to verify it was me.

Enjoy!

Gaming Performance with V-Sync

1280x1024, Maxed Out, 4xAA, 4xAF, V-Sync Enabled.

Gaming Performance without V-Sync

1280x1024, Maxed Out, 4xAA, 4xAF, V-Sync Disabled.

I nearly doubled my FPS merely by removing V-Sync, now that I get an average of 80FPS I can probably raise my AA and AF to 6x/8x instead of 4x/4x.
