I have a copy of XP. So I didn't need to order it. Anyway, 2100 is correct: the 2390 is w/ tax and shipping.

To run DirectX 10 on that 8800 card you will need Vista.

I know. But, being a Microsoft user for years--I've learned the hard way to wait for the first service pack before switching to a new OS. Vista is like a huge public beta imo. I'd rather wait a few months and let the problems (and DRIVERS) work themselves out. Then I'll shell out the cash for Vista

Just wanted to say everything went well Put everything together, and after a long day, everything is up and running. I'm extremely satisfied. Was very nervous doing this myself but I'm glad I did. Thanks to all the posts that led to this build.

Sorry for the 3 posts in a row, but I didn't know where else to ask this question: I've gotten everything set up perfectly--it's running great--no issues or anything...but I believe I'm on the old BIOS--or, I should say, there is a newer one available. If I'm experiencing no problems, should I just leave it alone? Or will upgrading the BIOS help performance?? I'm not going to be overclocking this sytem.... Let me know. Thanks

Might want to add another raptor. One on its own isn't to fast.

You need RAID-0
