Need to buy the last two parts of my el-cheap-o budget gaming rig.
__________________Let me know if there are better deals for the following: Gigabyte P35-DS3L ZipZoomFly $96.99 free shipping Intel E2160 Buy.com $86.99 free shipping or Intel E2180 Buy.com $93.62 free shipping I've seen a 5% off coupon for Buy.com as well as instant $30 off if you sign up for their VISA card. Normally only buy from Newegg, but they are out of stock on the MB, plus higher price and no free shipping. Only want to buy from very reputable sites and think that these two sites are. Let me know if you don't agree.

Other existing parts for this build:
__________________Memory: 2 GB HP PC2-5300 DDR2-667 $20 after rebates (thanks to this site) Heatsink/fan: Cooler Master Hyper TX 2 $8 after rebates and shipping Optical drive: Samsung SH-S203B $29 shipped Case Antec SLK2650-BQE $0 already had it laying around Power Supply Rosewill RP500-2 " " Hard Drive WD 160GB EIDE 7200 " " (will eventually put in SATA) Video Card EVGA 7600 GT " " (Eventually upgrade) Goal is to overclock with a 1:1 memory timing and get rock solid stability as this system will probably be left running 24/7. Which CPU would be better out of the 2160/2180 with such cheap components?

Pretty sure I'm going to go with the 2180. Anyone have any comments on setup and pricing deals?

It is my understanding that you'll get a more stable OC with the e2180 because it has the 10x multiplier, versus 9x with the 2160.
__________________If you are patient, Intel should be releasing on Dec 3 the e2200, with a 11x multiplier. In 6 months I'm told, there will be another processor released with a 12x multiplier. It's performance can be thought of as 4xNorthwood. But who wants to wait 6 months? At any rate, you'll have a nice upgrade path ![]()

Went with the E2180 and decided at the last minute to go with the Abit IP35-E and got them both from Newegg. Hope to get the parts all in by Friday and start building on Sunday (Boyscout camping trip this weekend or I'd be done building on Friday). Maybe I should just take all the parts on the campout and teach the scouts how to build a computer.

I would recommend a better power supply than the one you have chosen. Try something from a more reputable brand, ex. FSP Group.
