nice build, but 2 critiques:

-go for a DFI motherboard since it will OC the crap out of your quad
-get a TRUE (Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120) cooler

the only reason why im using my BT still is because i migrated it from my 939 rig

But it's $60 and that could go for a down payment on 4 more gigs of ram or to step-up to the 9800GX2

You're not really expecting to kill people using this are you?! j/k

On your storage, just get like 2-3 cheaper sata drives, and 1 big one to back them up and put the clone drives in raid0. it's a sure fire way to get the most for your money IMHO.

How hot does your Q6600 get when paired with the Thermaltake Big Typhoon? I also have the updated BT VX which is supposed to be better

well, you are building a killer rig and basically cheaping out on 2 of the most important components which will hurt your overclocking results.

if anything, what i would do is get the 4gb GSkill ddr1000 PQ kit for $100 instead. mine were able to hit 1066 speeds and cheaper then 1066 memory. use those savings towards a good air cooler. u wont regret it.

my temps hit 70s when i prime at 3.6 because of the extra volts, but everyday use it idles around 35-40. many many reviews have basically said the TRUE was the best cooler out right now.

Change your disk to a 7200.11 from Seagate. According to synthetic benchmarks it kicks a raptor's ass everywhere except seek time for obvious reasons.

Also, Seagate epic win to infinity.
