Default I have $800 to spend on a new rig...

I have $800 including the rerbates to spend on new parts for a system. I already have a hardrive. What should I get? I have no clue since this is my first build.

E8400, TRUE, 2gb Crucial RAM, 8800GTS 512 should be a good start.

I would get a Q6600 but thats just me. I would also get a 8800GTS and 4GB of Crucial.

Honestly, that depends if you game or not.

If you game, concentrate on CPU and GPU.

If you don't, get a really fast RAID setup going and it'll give you a much more responsive computer.
