Default E2180 or 5000+ black

Guys I am trying to bring the cost of the system down but at the same time I would like to have decent performance. End of the day I would like to get a cheap dual core system with decent performance, I will not use it for gaming only for surfing internet and as a media PC. I am looking at E2180 build. I need to find a good mobo with Integrated graphics that can properly O/C E2180. I am planning to hit 3Ghz. My other alternative is AMD 5000+ and Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H.
AMD 5000+ black costs $20 more but when combined with Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H, it gives me everything, though I am not sure about the O/C capability of the mobo. I would be very interested in knowing if I can bring the price of CPU/Mobo combo with E2180. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you can get a little more money, you can get a E7200 for $130. I just finished up a build and was able to reach 3.8GHz without pushing it too far. Its probably worth the extra money. Take a look at the guide in my sig.

The 5000BE should be able to hit 3.3 pretty easy...and some go up to 3.5ghz. The 2180 generally stop at 3.1-3.2ghz, the 2180 is slightly faster..so I would say its a toss up as to the winner.

the 7200 is 45nm & not voltage friendly but does clock well....

but for true ''bang for buck'' & great performance go with the 2180 ....

65nm & takes a serious beating

It all comes down to basically AMD or intel. These CPUs are both great and almost on par with performance. the ATI 780G is a great chipset though. hybrid crossfire FTW. Even the onboard by itself is better than all other solutions available today. Add that with a 3450/3650 and u've got some really great performance for the price.
