Default $150 to add to build.

I get to order something up to $150 to add to my build. Normally I would just save the cash for something worthwhile, but I'm ordering something along with my dad's build that I'm making for him. So this is a one time thing. Besides a hard drive, can I make any improvements?

Your current build is pretty good. Spending $150 on something other than another harddrive won't give any performance increase at all (more RAM couldn't hurt either thuogh).

So maybe a 640GB WD drive, and 4GB more RAM and you should be set (8GB of RAM = no more pagefile (or at least set it to 16MB))

Ram wouldn't be a bad idea. I was kind of thinking about getting a 3870, then selling my 3870x2 and putting that money towards a 4870 or 4870x2.

A 4870 won't be too much better than your current 3870. Certainly not good enough to warrant the price.

I would either get the drive space, more RAM, or just save the money for later.

Are you sure? I thought the 4850 was on par with the 3870x2.

I hear you can get a 4850 for 150 right now at best buy. Might want to check that out for crossfire.
