Default Low Cost Core2Duo For Diablo3

Im on a budget (600-700$)

I want a cheap Core2Duo (not pentium dual-core)

Heres the things that i want for my low cost rig..

*= What i wanna keep

-*P45 Gigabyte* sli (Intel Quad 45 nm Updatable) (Good OverClocking MOBO)
-Good Core2duo (For Multitasking & Encoding Videos & Gaming)
-The Case *CoolerMaster CM690* (with the max fan i can get)
-2 at 4 gigs of Ram at 800 or 1066 Mhz
-Good Nvidia card (To run Diablo 3 & Crysis on High No AA)
-*Western digital 500 Gigs SE16 AKKS*
-Cpu Cooling *TRUE Black edition* (For Overclocking the Heck Out of the Core2Duo)

Ps:This budget is without screen & OS.

Pps:One 8800Gt would it be enough to run Diablo 3 at MAX?

This Biostar P45 is better and has SLI/X-fire: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138118

An e7200 would do you well, you could OC the heck out of it on that board.

Graphics wise, Radeon 4850, best bang for the buck right now. There is no reason you HAVE TO HAVE Nvidia, you could get an 8800gt if you want, but youd be a little more future proof and enjoy Crysis more with a 4850.

The game looks like Baldur's Gate with a bit better textures in my opinion.

Any C2D and nVidia 7xxx+ or equivalent should run this with ease.

EDIT: Missed Crysis, scratch that, anyways, for Canada, order from Directcanada.com

Best site I've found thus far.

Blizzard's 3D games have had a vast improvement in quality over the years, and you want an 8800GT? My 3870 (comparable) skips in Titan Quest (a 3D Diablo rip made a few years ago) even with reasonable video options, and you think the GT can handle Diablo 3 max? Get a 4850, I can practically guarantee that'll do it.

Diablo 3 will come out within 1.5 years. Which means hardware will change SIGNIFICANTLY by the time the game is released. You might even need quad cores & next gen video/physics cards as a minimum.

Mistakes along the way (most recent up top):
- Ordering a 20' widescreen monitor then realizing you made a mistake while calculating the needed height. Bummer.
- Buying a 3870 a week before 48xx benchmarks surface.
- Having 2 HDDs and buying 2 more w/o checking if the mobo controller can perform past 3 disks in RAID0.
- Buying a Zalman VF-900Cu when even a badass overclock will keep your card alive for two years.

Yeah the hardware will change in 1 year.. but i wanna be sure that i am prepared to run diablo 3 to the max, and my piece of garbage (my laptop) will not live forever.

I would agree with the quad cores bit since it's a hack and slash game, there's tons of number crunching in terms of health, damage dealt, and all the creeps running around and their individual stats, too.

i don't know if the E7200 is better than the E4xxx or E2xxxx, probably has an architecture advantage but E2180 oc well too
