I call it the "aka-kaji bo-ru", means - "Red fire ball" in Japanese.
Well, here goes:

Firstly, Special thanks to:

Ravin
For helping me choose my RAM and clearing up many misc issues.

marcus000

TheNix
For his great Asus Maximus Information and Help area thread.

linskingdom
For his great The Intel Penryn (45nm) Information and Discussion Thread

Rev1
For his info and help with the Maximus Formula.

Some pics of my final setup:

__________________________________________________ __________________________________

The Parts:
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Formula, Bios:0602
Processor: E8400, FPO:Q809A192
Processor Cooler: Zalman CNPS 9500
RAM: 2x1GB, DDR2 800, OCZ Titanium @ 5-5-5-15
Case: Lian Li V2000, Painted Black.
HDD: 500GB Seagate 7200.11, 500GB WD Caviar SE16, 80GB WD Caviar SE
Optical Drives: Lite-On DVD-RW, Lite-on DVD combo.

Future Upgrades:
This build is far from done, some future upgrades:
1) Cut up some holes next to the motherboard for better wire management.
2) Get longer SATA/IDE cables for better wire management.
3) Cable sleeves.
4) Window on the side panel
5) Light it up like a night club, well not multicolored, going to go with a UV and Red theme.

6) Water cooling setup, when I get the money.
7) Make a wood box/stand under the case, to house the radiators, kinda like that build log called "My Armor's throne"
8) Upgrade to the Q9450 after the Nahalem's are out, or whatever 45nm Quad is out by then.
9) Getting the HD 4850 soon.
10) New PSU, since I blew my sig one, currently using my old Rosewill 550W.

The case, Painted and in its full glory:

Attempting to heat up the Northbridge and Southbridge, so as to replace the stock TIM. This was a failure, I will reattempt when I have a blow drier.

The finished product:

First real boot:

Since the PSU was up side down and its fan was blocked, I installed a fan before it to cool it, put up a piece of card-board later to male it upright.

Comparing my old case to the V2000

THE END, for now!

Maximus overvolts RAM. Double check your actual RAM volts via a tool like Asus PC Probe or Everest to make sure your in spec with your kit voltage ratings.

I went through three sets of high dollar Mushkin before I realized what was going on.

If I set my volts to 2.34 in Maximus bios, the actual volts as read from XP will be something insane like 2.50!

I still don't know why Asus implemented that feature.

...

Otherwise. Nice rig.

Thanks. Yeah, I know about the overvolting, the Maximus overvolts the RAM by like 0.14V. Everything is at stock now, want to replace the chipset's stock TIM before I OC and also want to lap the processor and heatplate, since theres like a 5C difference b/w my 2 cores. See the 'Maximus Info and Help Area' thread, page 32. I dont think ASUS intended to implemented the overvolting, its probably just something that happens and they couldn't figure it out, kinda like a lot of things in Windows... XD!

My old mid-tower used to be huge.. its a Chinese Chieftec/Chenming rip-off, had very nice features and was, like I said huge... I keep wondering what I would have though if I'd seen the V2000 back then.
Once you go Lian Li, you cant go back. there's just too much to say about the case to type down, I was a bit skeptic at first about the huge case, I actually re arranged my whole room to fit in the case, I couldn't put it up on the desk, and now most of my posters are gone...
