The lights by the CPU socket and the CPU Low / High / Crazy are supposed to be indicators on the overclocked status (high voltage = crazy)

Theres much more to it than that, thats just what I got from skimming my Stirker II manual, only had it for a week

Thought you might be interested in a vdroop pencil mod. Since the rampage is pretty much a maximus/P5E with more features and the x48 chip with "official" 1600FSB support, it should work for your board as well.
