Update #1:
I had partial success with Live Chat; I found out Vista can be activated with a confirmation ID through an activation program already in Vista, I got the number for their validation support and found out Tech Support can connect and view your desktop to help with problems, on this part I kindly declined using this feature.

This post was done on my iPhone.

Update #2:

After 15 keys from Microsoft Tech Support both my OEM discs were banned and the tech support guy, even though he was really trying to help me (which I am glad for), only could get me a key after I went through an extremely long and complicated procedure. So, I opted out of that and ordered from newegg...

I gave in and payed more for the Retail version w/ SP1. At least it will be easier for me to get keys now.

Another update, even though I ordered my copy of Vista on Friday newegg still shipped it out over the weekend. So I get it today. Guess that means my Rampage Formula installation starts today; I'll lap the CPU some other time.

I wouldn't worry too much about that.

You can save two profiles of your settings in bios, so even if you accidentally clear the CMOS and reset it, it's as easy as going into the bios and reloading the profile.
