If money is not an issue then I'd phase change or go water cooling on the CPU and GPUs, assuming you're going to OC anything (and you better!).

PSU should be at least 1000W, maybe more if you're going with 3x GTX 280s.

RAM I'm not sure of, I haven't looked into the new i7s in that much detail, but if money is no object, then I'd go for 3 4gb sticks, unless you're planning some extreme OCing, then it may be easier to do 3 2gb sticks.

for the psu you can go 3 levels.
1000W(which is adequate for most systems): a Corsair HX1000W PSU would be the best choice. it's modular, got energy to spare, AND it's a Corsair. site: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139007

1200W(I consider it overkill, but you might need the extra power): a Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W. again, it's modular and it's a good brand of power supply. site: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153054

or if u want 1300W, go with an abs tagan 1300w system. here's the site: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817814011

i can also give some watercooling tips, but u need to tell me wat u would like to watercool. personally, i'd watercool the cpu, gpu, and nb. i'd even go phase change or those other freaky cooling techniques (which i have no clue how to operate)

as for the HDDs, please don't waste your cash and buy SSDs. they are fantastic, yes. but they are expensive! wait for the price to go down! what you should get is 2 300GB WD Velociraptors in RAID 0 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136260) for your operating system, games, and applications. also, get a 1TB WD Caviar Black (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136284) and put your data, music, videos, or photos on that. and if u really want, get an external HD as a backup for your 1TB Caviar Black and i would really suggest a Cavalry CAXE 1TB External Hard Drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822101082) and backup your data on that drive.

BTW, if ur gonna go RAID on those raptors, i suggest one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16816115030. there are some outstanding reviews on it.

Overall, you'd owe newegg for the HDDs $930. The most expensive SSD is 64GB and $800. But again, your choice.

For the RAM, i'd go with the Corsair ones u picked out. 6GB, high speeds, reasonable latency and it comes with a fan.

For the DVD burner, go with an LG Blu-ray Reader/ DVD Burner. site: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136133

thanks for considering my humble yet honest point of view!

3x2GB Corsair DDR3-1600MHz CL8 Dominator: I didn't find any online shop for these modules, maybe they're not released yet!
http://www.corsair.com/products/go.a...=TR3X6G1600C8D

Chassis: ????
Should be big enough for all these stuff!

----------------------------------------

A 30" LCD Monitor with IPS panel, I found these two:

Dell Ultrasharp 3008WFP: 1,599.99
http://www.dell.com/content/products...=us&l=en&s=dfo

HP LP3065: 1,349.00
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...7-3297215.html

----------------------------------------

for cooling:

1. Phase changing the CPU and leaving NB and VGAs as they were
2. water cooling everything.

which one performs better?

-Thanks

It depends largely on the application. Some make full use of eight PCI-e 2.0 lines. Some don't. Why limit yourself though?

For SSDs, I'd grab the new Intel ones. I don't know the exact release date, but they go on sale though the retail-employee website on December 8th.

Newegg only ships to the United States and Canada. If you are in Spain, you'll need to find a different vendor.

I wasn't able to find any mobo with full 3 PCI-E 2.0 x16. I will upgrade to the X58 SLI FTW which uses nforce 200 and has 3 PCI-E 2.0 x16s.
(Is EVGA step-up only for the States?)

Newegg is only for checking the price and exact model. I will buy them from Spain.

I thought the 3rd PCI-E slot for SLI was meant for PhsyX, can someone enlighten me here?

The new raptors in Raid are plenty fast. DO NO go SSD. They are not at the level in performance to replace HDD especially in gaming. If your doing data banking or running a server than fine but for what your after, Two 300 gig raptors in Raid would be amazing and X58 with the extreme processor plus 3:280GTXs would be so sick.
Please dont skimp on Audio, 5.1 surround sound is a must!
Also 6gigs of ram does have a noticeable benefit compared to 3 gigs of ram.

Just to clarify, this is wrong.

Gigabyte has 16x-16x when running in SLI or CrossfireX.

When you go to tri-SLI or tri-Crossfire, you get 16x-8x-8x

What it means is, the first two lanes are 16x so you can put a single card in either one and it will run 16x.

It is somewhat misleading, but X58 only has 32 lanes and Gigabyte hasn't added a switch chip or anything that I know of.

Eventually, there will be boards with nVidia's NF200 chips that will support full 16x on four PCIE slots.

One thing I don't like about that EVGA board is: Where do you put your sound card?

Beatrix, ten cuidado con esa publicidad. Hasta el momento, no hay ninguna carta base X58 que te de mas de 32 carriles PCIE.

According to EVGA's website, this board can do 3-way SLI:

So you're saying that two raptors will perform better than SSD's in games? Have anyone tested SSD's in games? I wasn't able to find a review.

I think I have no place for additional sound card, is there an external gaming high-end sound card?

Thanks zlojack,

I will replace the board when they release FTW version, it will use the nforce 200 and should be ok with three 16x slots.

I guess I have to go with external sound card, or just use the onboard!
