Default Buiding a Core i7

Hello,
I'm thinking of building a core i7 rig. This is what I have in mind:

Core i7 965 Extreme Edition
EVGA X58 SLI
3x EVGA GTX 280 (for gaming on 2560x1600)

Memory ?
CPU Cooler ?
PSU?
Fast SSDs?
DVD-burner ?

Can anyone help me with the question marks?

-thanks,

I think a PCI-E 2.0 x8 will be enough for any graphic card, isn't it?
(Is there any nforce 200 X58 available?)

Shelling out for a SSD isn't recommended quite yet. The price-to-performance ratio isn't that good. I don't think their capacities are that large yet. You would be just fine with a couple 640GB HDDs in RAID 0.

As far as I know, RAM is RAM. At the same time, you get what you pay for. As long as you stick with a name brand -- Corsair, Mushkin, G. Skill, etc. -- you should be just fine. I'm sure someone around here has done enough research to know which ICs provide the best value on DDR3 RAM and could point you in a more distinct direction.

For your PSU, you'll want at least a 1000-want unit. Once again, stick with a top brand -- Corsair, SeaSonic, PC Power & Cooling, etc. -- and you can't go wrong.

For your CPU cooler, you need to decide on air or water first. If you're going air, get a TRUE and lap it. Stick a Scythe Kaze on there and call it a day.

For your optical drive, pretty much any DVD burner will do. I recommend the Samsung 223F.

If he's going 965 and tri-280, I don't think that price is an object here!

Thanks for your comments,

I'm thinking of using two (or three) 32GB Fast SSD's and a WD Caviar Black 1TB.

For RAM I found this modules nice:
http://www.corsair.com/products/go.a...=TR3X6G1600C8D
Are they available in market?

This is NVIDIA SLI Certified PSUs for three GTX 280s:
http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html

Is Corsair HX 1000 good? because it's not in that list.

For CPU cooler, I was considering buying an Extreme cooling system like OCZ Cryo-Z. Do they worth their price?

You're right, money is not an issue. I can spend even $10.000 for this build!

I was originally going to go 1600 speed, but there were some benches posted a few weeks ago that showed marginal performance benefit overall with the i7s. So I went with the Corsair XMS3 1333 myself. Cas is rated at 9 unfortunately, but voltage is only 1.5; so I was kind of hoping that I had some wiggle room to get it down to 8.

Oh yes, I've seen nothing but praise for Corsair PSUs. 1000W may be overkill, but you are doing tri-SLI...

Even with money not being an issue, I can't justify shelling out the money for SSD.

I wish I could give suggestions on a water-cooled setup, but that's not my area of expertise.
