Ok well just had the GTX280 in my rig on the TV and it has a huge black window around it when running...

Imagine running 640x480 in the middle of the screen with the rest of the display black, well thats what mine does but on 1920x1080... but yet my 8800GT's can do 1920x1080 on full screen?

Anybody know why?

180.84, ive worked out the problem, the display is 16:10 ratio not 16.9 so it throws the TV's scaling off.

Well, I am thinking about getting a GTX280...
I bought this GTS320 about 1 year and half and it doenst cut it anymore...
even at 1280X1024 it poops itself in some games...(but I am talking about playing on highest settings with filters)

Should I wait a bit longer till new cards come out, or is it a kick ass card?
I will probably upgrade my monitor too...
Should it play the next gen games on highest settings?
1280X1024 with some filters...
and then upgrading my PC to a Core I7 platform and maybe SLi later (like in 2 years or so )

@ Jay1ty0 -I was on Fallout 3 on my sig rig with a GTX280 installed playing on ultra high with the HD mod/texture pack with no jaggies with full Anti-astropic (if thats how you spell it?) and I think 4x or maybe 8x AA, didn't have a chance to try 16x.

Anyways i've just finished installing all the drivers all hardware is working and installed now im starting to aim for 4ghz
