[Project] Mother In Law (COMPLETE)
Ok guys I have started to get some parts for my Mother In Laws new rig. I say this because she has been on this dated Gateway for quite some time now. Here are the specs that she has been using since the last decade, yes I said decade.
 AMD Athlon 600mhz slot A CPU 384mb of PC100 200w PSU Geforce 2 MX 64mb AGP 9gb HD WinXP SP2 with no updates I think the board was giving her issues, which is why she just "left it on all the time". This leads me to believe she had other issues that she didn't know about. So I thought it was about time for a huge upgrade. So I was looking at the case, and thought, mmmm this is not such a bad case after all, and its ATX! I just need to dremel out the IO panel and the PSU panel to accommedate needed hardware. Here is the new hardware going into it: Gigabyte P35-DS3R Intel E4400 XIGMATEK HDT-D1284 2x1gb OCZ DDR2-800 Palit 8600GTS 512mb 80gb IDE WD HD DVD+-RW OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W WinXP SP3 So I bring to you all, Project: Mother In Law!

That is more computing power than she will ever need. She should be set for quite a while.

You may want to open up a good airflow route in the front of the case and pop in a fan or 2. Drill, baby, drill!
