Hi guys, thought i share some pics of my first intel build so far
![]() Used to run an AMD 5600+ X2 at 3.5ghz and a 4870 only im going for somthing abit better this time. It all started when someone gave me an E6420 C2D...that then resulted in me selling my AMD gear and then planing my Intel build as im on a very tight budget ![]() So far here's the spec : CPU : Core 2 E6420 Memory : Not sure yet but im going for 8gig Graphics : Not sure although 90% ill be running SLI'd 8800GTX's as i can get them for just over £100 each new ![]() Case : Antec nine hundred, good case, just needed to be painted black on the insde. Drive : 320gb HDD and a pioneer Blu-Ray drive And the little C2D will be water cooled by an XSPC Delta V3 block and there 240mm Rad. Anyway, here are the pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cant wait to overclock the crap outta that Core 2, if i can get 3.5ghz out of an AMD X2 just think what ill get out of this ![]() Enjoy ![]()

Congratz! and beware, you might never go back! lol
__________________Looks like a very nice build you got going there, but might a make a suggestion or two? Maybe go with just 4GB of Ram, but make sure you get 2x2GB sticks so you can upgrade later. I know it sounds nice, but 8GB is kinda overkill at this point in the game and I promise you be just as happy with 4 :P And with the money you save with going with 4GB, put the rest with what you were going to spend on the 8800GTX's and get a GTX260 Core216. They together are pretty much the performance of the one 260, and that way you can just pick up another 260 when they get cheaper and still be run all the new stuff later... just my 2cents
