Arrow New Corei7 build soon to come...

Well here is my Corei7 build list! "Stockholm" was the name I came up with, did this by loading up Google Earth, spinning the earth and stopping on a city and I stopped on Stockholm, Sweden so that's the name! If you guys have some recommendations or suggestions that would be much appreciated. Just another month or 2 and she's all mine, can't wait. I have around $800 already saved up so I'm getting close! The subtotal is around $1,400

I'm curious. How far have others gotten with a 920 and a T.R.U.E?

3.8 minimum, 4.0-4.2 if you do a lot of tweaking.

Sweet thanks! That's what I wanted to hear. What kind of temps are you running on that 920 of yours?

I can't wait to start going through that BIOS and seeing what it has to offer

30-35 idle depending on ambient.
55-60 load depending on ambient

Note: I run with HT off and that drops the temps a little bit, if you leave it on don't be surpised to see 70c even with TRUE.

Those temps aren't half bad.
Do you notice a huge difference with HT off compared to when it was on?

Nope, not in browsing around or gaming; only difference you will see at this point is in benchmarks that utilize all 8 cores (which pretty much no major games do at this point) or encode/fold etc..

I prefer to keep them off since they're really not being used by me at this point, and create overhead for the other 4 if not being used actually causing a performance penalty in other applications where they sit idle. So turning them off gains me decreased temperature, decreased power draw.

I've gotten up to 4.0 with a TRUE but my temps were too high because of my ambient temp.

BTW Nice setup Wally. Two thumbs up. If you need any help tweaking with that Gigabyte just message me.
