Hey all,
__________________I've finally got round to taking pics of my rig. (not the best rig, but hey) Sorry about the pic quality, I used my mobile/cell phone. Specs Intel Celeron DC E1200 (OC'd @ 2.00GHz) Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Sapphire HD 3650 512MB (OC'd @ 750/510MHz) 2x 1GB GeIL DDRII 667 ![]() I couldn't find a spare screwdriver, so I got duct tape out

I hope that's just a short-term fix. I know duct tape is awesome but between the heat and vibration it will probably only last a few months. Macgyver would be proud tho.
I like the specs on your rig tho, seems to be a well rounded low-cost build.

It's a good rig overall you just need better cable management.

Firstly, rip out the things you don't need. Do you need that PC speaker there behind the intake? Rip it.
__________________Do you need that floppy drive? You Must Rip It! Rip It. Rip It Good! Invest in a screwdriver and some zip ties! Tidy up those cables. Use the duct tape you are so fond of to channel wires where you want them (for example, the outake fan wire is just dangling down to the mobo, duct tape it around the rim). Also, if you don't have the spare covers for the extension slots, duct tape those over too. They'll let dust in like crazy.

@BinaryDemon: Yep, it's only a temporary solution. I still got original screws and washers.
__________________![]() I've got a load of zip ties, that'll keep the cables tidy. I'll keep both the PC Speaker and the Floppy Drive as they are very handy if you run into a problem. Thank you for your advice ![]() *dashes off to tidy up my computer*

Start OC'ing that E1200!
![]() I have one of them, and they overclock well beyond a 100% overclock... I have mine on a stock cooler at 3.3Ghz, and I could go even farther, as its only on 1.375V...

For some reason my motherboard won't let me past 2.1GHz (keeps rebooting back to factory default).... and that even when I up the volts.

what fsb:ram ratio are you running? you need to also pay attention to your RAM clock + voltage

you should check it from your BIOS... make sure that your RAM is within its rated specs or not much higher... use a higher ratio if needed to lower your RAM speed
