Nice setup but may I ask why did you buy 12GB when 6GB would have been sufficient ?.

I run several instances of vmware for virtualized development machines (linux, windows 2k8 etc) . So i need to configure them each with 2-4GB of ram to mirror what the production environment would have. So.... 12GB lets me do that and allow them to run in background (no load) and still have plenty of ram free for daily tasks or gaming./

Ballpark north of $3.5K total as all parts were bought new at the height of their release.

Hmmm... very nice build indeed almost like mine, yet your vantage score is about 1000 points more, if you don't mind me asking what is your 3DM06 score

3DMark06 seems a bit low for me: 23,529
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10352638

Also isnt reporting it as SLI (but def is given the framerates... at least I think it is LOL)

EDIT: I guess it is in line with where it should be afterall, looking at other i7 920's running vista with SLI or TriSLI -> http://service.futuremark.com/search...tingsystem=561
