Building my little brother a system - ~$1000
Hey guys, Its been a long time since I have actively posted here, but coming back to the community for some help. I was real up to date on the goods last year, but many things have changed...
__________________What I have built roughly so far... Case- NZXT Zero He wants it to be big with a few LED's, looks nice to me MB - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Its been a long time since I have studied up on the newer chipsets as I am still on 975x. Anybody have ideas on this one? RAM = 2x1GB G.Skill GPU = eVGA GTX260 55nm I have the 65nm version and I love it HDD = 2x WD 500GB Black A pair in these in RAID 0 should do the trick HSF = Xigamatek .... I don't know much about this cooler, but I hear its around the TRUE? CPU = Trying to bum my e6600 off to him so I can go quad, haha. PSU = Corsair 750 It use to be PCP&C were one of the best, are they still? How does this compare? Other bits = Sound card, AS5, cd drives ect... All comes out to around 1,000 Any help would of course be much appreciated. I am mostly hung up on MB and PSU. I am up to date on the GPU, HDD

Not bad. The Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P is an excellent mobo, from the OC's achieved on this site alone lol. Awesome overclockers. Umm, the Corsair PSU I hear is very good, I have an 850w at home waiting for me so I cannot give you immediate help with that, but I hear that the Corsair's are good. Also, everything on that list looks great for a system, something I would actually rock

give him the quad.. he needs to grow up knowing that you want to help him do good.
if you give him the old dual, he will probably think that he aint worth a thing because he only have old trash. Well, but two quads... or wait for yours. Looks nice!
