If you are going quad get a Q9550 (E0 if you can) or a E8400 or something highly OCable.

I'd get a quad for 2009

yeah you should be. are you using AA? did you try reinstalling drivers and using WHQL ones?

Well in most games i have played with my Quad and 4850/4870 card increasing the Quad speed form 2.4-3.0 gave me nice increase in many games. After that there is no real reason fo game unless you have SLI or CF. You CPU could be the problem becuase if you compare it to a e8500 clock per clock is much slower because it is 65nm and only 1mb L2.

I didn't put on AA my friend didn't either. And I'm using 181.22 right now, he's not updating his drivers. He doesn't understand the importance of it.

I heard that the e8700 is coming out so I will wait until the prices will drop and get myself an e8600 as it will reach the 4GHz quite easily. What do you think?
