Talking Green Machine Upgrade for my Son: i7
Well my Son's venerable Abit AA8Xe rig has finally started to fritz so I decided to build him a future proofed rig that should last him a few more years.

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
DFI LP UT X58-T3eH8 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
G.SKILL PI Black 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
XCLIO GREATPOWER X14S4P4 750W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply

I got A Mugen 2 Heatsink (only 1366 I could find) and a Scythe S-Flex 1900
That's about all I intend to get for now. That was about $900 bucks...plenty more than I really should have spent

He has a Zotac 8800 GT, DVD drive, and HDD that I will reuse for the build. I might throw my other Zotac in threr just for a bench session...I haven't benched SLI in ages

It's going into his metalliv green Antec 900 with the acrylic face.

The one thing I need to locate now is a good CPU sooler as the Silenx probably won't fit socket 1366.

Any Ideas?

Links to a decent HSF for i7 would be cool

yeah I second that, definatley the best cooler for i7 at the moment, looks dead cool in black as well

I had a xclio PSU and it fryed my mobo and gpu. With such a nice rig as that i'd get something more high end.
