I7 Build: UndecidedName (First Intel Build)
Yes, my very First Intel Build. From a Long history of AMD builds, and my first being a Cyrex Processor. These are sad days for me.
I guess it all started after I replaced my ATI 9600 XT Graphics card with a 7800 GT OC that "Fell Off a truck" And then the 8800GTS 640 MB card that I still think is a total beast, Enough that I will see how much this new build Will unlock its potential and hopefully keep me from buying Anything Else!! haha Anyway. In the shipping process CP1-I7-920 1 x Intel Core i7-920 2.66Ghz 8M LGA1366 CPU N126-1006 1 x Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler I7 A455-2854 1 x Asus P6T-Deluxe Intel X58 Socket LGA1366 MB P227-1003 1 x PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad PSU M17-7414 M 1 x Windows Vista Home Prem 64-bit DSP OEM C283-1187 1 x Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower Black Case and K24-9504 2 x Kingston 2GB Mobility/MulKit MicroSD Adapter kit that goes into a Flash drive =) 1 for me, one for Girlfriend. Now some people are probably like, Hey man you have no memory! In my hands are a Dual Channel Kit of memory, yes Dual Channel... 4 x 1 DDR3 1600mhz AxeRam from Transcend 7-7-7-20 1.8v This ram was given to me For FREE! Only reason why i want to use them! Now the only thing is I will have to figure out how to "Downclock" the ram to run at a lower Voltage. Something to do with a QPI =? It will be a learning experience =) So, will be Uploading Pictures of everything As I receive them!

I can't stop but noticing you decided on getting 4x1GB, which in itself wouldn't be bad, but you are aware that with x58 and i7, we got to Triple-Channel, right?
So that means you will need 3 identical RAM sticks to get the improvement on Triple channel.

The easiest thing to do with your RAM: use three of them and keep the fourth as a spare, or, get two more identical DIMMs for 6 GB of number crunching!

That is deffinitely a possiblity,
But i would sooner find a buyer for the Kit i have and just buy a 3 x 2 kit hough i was told by a nubmer of poeple that running 4 sticks will nto hinder performance, the challenge will be getting the voltage lower and tuning the ram to what X58 mobo's like.
