So yesterday I was at a friend's house helping him do a build. The specs are as follows:
CPU: Q9550 (E0) Mobo: Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Memory: G.SKill 2 GB 1066mhz PSU: Ultra X3 600W Case: TT Spedo Advance Package HDD: WD 500GB CPU HSF: CoolIt MTEC GPU: Sapphire 4850 Unfortunately, he forced me to put in the optical drive from his old comp (an IDE), so I had to comply. I told him the cable management wouldn't be as good, but he insisted. Surprisingly, I completely hid the cable, there was a slot in the back that just fit the head of the connector. Here are a few pics (I couldn't be slow and methodical with them, we were a little pressed for time): ![]() That cable that's comin out of the TEC is just temporary, I ran it behind the motherboard at the end. ![]() After a few hiccups with the Bios of the board I got the CPU to 4 ghz (475 * 8.5) and it was stable until I left. With the TEC on high, it was hitting around 55-60, but I'm sure that will go down once the AS5 sets in and he installs a backplate 120mm fan. Overall, it was a fun build, the cable management in the Spedo is very excellent, more room behind the mobo than on my 1200.
