Why not change the 4870x2 to a visiontek. They have the best warranty for ATI cards from what I'm told. Also, agreed that the 1200w psu is more than enough, go for the corsair 1000w

Also maybe consider a cooler like the xigmatek dark knight or the cooler noctua has out

Thanks for the recommendation on the PSU guys, if I am getting the same quality I would be happy to spend $300 less.

The coolermaster v10 has a horrible design flaw and is easily trumped by the v8, but the noctua is the best 1366 air cooler out there unless there's a 1366 bracket for the true that I don't know about. The xigmatek dark knight is a updated model of an excellent 775 cooler, and is also a very good cooler. Basically go with the noctua if you're looking for a 4ghz overclock

As for the visiontek warranty, I'm not sure but I think they have a lifetime warranty and possibly better customer service (not sure on this one), but the general consensus I see is that people tend to buy visiontek for their warranty

Haven't had a single little issue with it, it's behaved perfectly... I love it!

I know there were some reviews reporting an overvoltage issue with it, haven't seen anything of that..

Since all the 4870x2's are basicly the same, it's just as good to buy it from the producer that has the best warrenty

not exactly, no. The xigmateks are more like a true than a v8. I'm running the v8 and love it.. but I'm just offering more options. I was holding out for the thors hammer, but there was no release date given at the time I ordered the v8.

Get a thermalright ultra 120mm extreme and lap it or get a noctua 120mm

p.s. Montana is the bomb. Love the weather, scenery and people up there. My folks have a place up there and are planning to retire there in the next 5-10 years. I've been going up there since i was a little kid and love it. The people are also much more polite up there!

Thanks for the MT love! I have lived here for about six years now, I moved here from Wyoming to go to school and never left. We have a lot of fun here, and if your into outdoor activities we have pretty much everything. My parent's are thinking about retiring up here as well. I am hoping they buy the condo I own from me.
