Hey folks, just looking for some feedback and then a full build log will commence!
__________________Here is what I am planning on ordering today: Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128362 Proc: Core i7 920 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202 RAM: OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 (12gb total) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227381 Video: Sapphire 1GB HD4870 @ 750mhz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801 PS: Antec Signature 850W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371018 Case: Antec 1200 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129043 HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB (I have this already) Couple questions for the masses: I'd like to shoot for a decent OC on the rig, so I want to get some feedback on the memory choice. I also am not sure about the video. I am trying to decide between that 1GB 4870 and a 1GB 4850X2 card. I guess eventually I'll probably get both and triple crossfire, but can't afford both for now. I also feel like the PS should be more than sufficient as I'll only be running the one HDD (maybe add one later) and 3 gfx (eventually). Any advice? I want to order today, so thanks for the help!

I would try a silverstone modular psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256011 it's cheaper and I would trust it over the antec everthing else looks good. Nice deal on the RAM. Nice case.

Looks good. A soild build. 4870 is a 150w GPU. A solid 650w psu should be fine with some headroom. That antec 850w psu is a very good psu but expensive. How about Corsair 650tx or 750tx?

I've always just had really good luck with Antec I guess and am nervous to go away from what works. I originally was on a CS series from them, but the signature series + the 1200 case comes with a $60 package deal that started today, so for 60 bucks off it's a lot more competitive with the other 800+ W PSUs I've seen...

Maybe a 4870x2??? I think that for an i7, should have really nice graphics, but that is IMO.

I love mine. There's a lot of usable space and some storage space for extra cables and stuff. I'm not HUGE into lighted cases but it looks nice. Just like everyone else I had to slightly bend the little LEDs on the 120mm fans but it took like 30 seconds to do. It's nice and quiet and my load case temp is always the same as my room temp, so it moves a TON of air.

Ok, I think everything is hammered out except the video...
__________________For 190 I get the 4870 1GB card, which is an upgrade from what I have now and should be more than sufficient. For 250 I get a 1GB 4850x2 or for 290 I get a 2GB 4850x2. My thoughts are to go with the cheaper 4870 and add the X2 card later when prices settle a little and/or I have more monies...
