Sort of depends on how long the MIR lasts on that PSU.
It's only $10 more expensive because of the MIR so if it's alot better than the Rosewill I'd be willing to squeeze out the extra $10.

Also, this might be a dumb question but can I save the $64 on tax by having it shipped to my grandparents house in Arizona? Because more than likely I'll be visiting them within the next month or two.

Thats a good cpu the intel quad and it costa as much as the phenom 2 2.8

I think the phenom would still be better as its the new age cpu's compared to intels I& instead of the last age qxxxx series quads. You may notice a issue with games not using quads with that 2.33 Ghz as its low.

Alright, I've almost got all the money I need for the computer.
I'm thinking this is my final build: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...Number=9403645

Just another question or two. The monitor promo says $20 off with a code that ends on 3/30 and I was wondering if that means I could buy the whole deal and still get the $20 off if I buy it all at like 3 p.m. PST or if it ends and I can't use the code at all tomorrow (the 30th). Also, just wanted to make sure that everything listed will work together cause I'd hate to buy it and then find out something won't work cause I bought the wrong part .

This is looking good, nice balance between cost and performance. All that stuff should work well together.

I believe you can use the code until midnight on the expiration date.

Awesome, it'll save me the additional $20 dropping the total cost to about $920.

The final build looks solid. I'd move forward on it.

It doesn't matter if it's "new age" or "old age", it's how the CPU performs, and frequency isn't as relevant anymore with multi-core architecture being so freakishly efficient. Phenom IIs perform SLIGHTLY better than Intel's pre-Nehalem quads, but it took AMD so long to come up with a CPU that could do this well that Intel just kept staying ahead in raw performance at the top end of the spectrum; hopefully AMD's next major lineup release will be effective competition without having to overclock. Sooner or later AMD will regain its crown, but until then I'll be partial to Intel. Nothing against AMD, mind you.

Awesome, thanks to everyone who helped me through this. Hopefully I'll have some actual pictures coming when the parts get here after I order it all .
I'll be having a friend who has built his own computer help me put it all together.

Edit: Going to be buying it tomorrow most likely.

Alright, it's looking like I'll be ordering it either later today or tonight.
Right now the build is:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...Number=9403645

Anyone got any last minute suggestions or comments?

you may want to bump up the memory by one step as your mobo there has a nice fsb of 1600/1333 I doubt it would be worth the difference though.

all and all A+ build
