That's a very biased opinion and misleading comment. The GTX 285 is not the King of Performance.

@Hackmod: The 4890 was just released today and the majority of the reviews show it to be a great performer. Maybe you should consider getting a single 4890 and possibly adding a second one down the road.

It is the Fastest Card currently out hence the king. This is excluding the HD4870x2 and the GTX295 because they are dual GPU Cards.

Is it easy to use CrossFire? 'Cause I've decided on the EVGA X58 3x SLI and don't think Tri-CrossFire will be easy...

If I were to get a good card, that would last me till the end of next year, slowly making my way up to three parallel graphics cards, what should I buy?
And will the Corsair HX1000W support 3 HD4890s?

CM V8 is great and all but the TRUE out performs it...then again the Optimus Prime (Prolimatech Megahalum) outperforms the TRUE so go with that, but check the air cooling forum some people are actually trying to figure out if it fits properly on an EVGA mobo. All else fails then go with TRUE.

I am also assuming you are going with the Intel 80GB SSD which drove your price up a huge amount. I would suggest the OCZ Vertex 120GB it is about 50$ less and has 50% more storage.

Also, to improve on your cooling grab a half dozen San Ace or Panaflo fans and a fan controller.

Bah, ok one more note...grab a second monitor....just because LOL

@Shadowclock

Thanks for the reply.
The only options I have [because I live in the Third-World] are:

Quote:
ASUS (COOLING SOLUTION) ARTIC SQUARE
Rs. 3500

ASUS (COOLING SOLUTION) SILENT KNIGHT II FAN
Rs. 3800

COOLER MASTER (COOLING SOLUTION) CASE FAN SILENT 120mm WITH BLUE LED
Rs. 1500

COOLER MASTER (COOLING SOLUTION) CPU COOLER CM SPHERE (SUPP INTEL & AMD)
Rs. 3600

COOLER MASTER (COOLING SOLUTION) HYPER N520 (SUPP INTEL & AMD)
Rs. 4000

COOLER MASTER (COOLING SOLUTION) CPU COOLER HYPER Z600 (SUPP INTEL & AMD)
Rs. 4700

COOLER MASTER (COOLING SOLUTION) CPU COOLER V8 (SUPP INTEL & AMD)
Rs. 5400
I figure the V8 is the best. What do you think?

There is no other option! There may be more later in the coming months, but I want THE fastest performance because all I want to do with my SSD is install my OS [and maybe a few games] .

I can grab fans easy, but a fan controller may be difficult. I don't really mind, because noise isn't that important to me, even if it sounds like a jet fighter! [The speakers drain the noise out, and the noise shows what's running under the hood ]
