This looks like an excellent build i really would buy soon or you will continually update and re update and it turns into a long drawn out process. With what you have there you will be thrilled...PLENTY OF POTENTIAL

The plan is to wait until June....my exams will be over and I'll have enough time to go to the store, pick out the components, buy some batteries for the camera, come back, build it while taking photos, benchmark it and post it all on OCN
I'm updating it constantly because I want to be on THE latest components, period. It has to last till about 2010, or 2011.

With that kind of hardware look into getting a 24" 1920x1200 Monitor. It will do your cards the justice they deserve.

I can't find a good monitor! Can someone suggest one out of this list? Something under Rs. 30000 [price]. My current one is a 22", 1680x1050 monitor.

Any of the samsungs or viewsonics would probably be a good choice.

Problem is, that'd be a waste of money considering I already have a good 1680x1050 monitor.

Okay, this is the final spec before I cough up the cash. Will see delivery in late June, or July [or may not if I don't do well in my examinations ]:

Power - Rs. 20500
• Corsair HX1000W
1,000W - Modular - SLI Ready

Chassis - Rs. 20500
• Cooler Master ATCS 8401
E-ATX - Aluminium - Silver

Processor - Rs. 24500
• Intel Core i7 920
2.66 GHz - LGA1366 - 45nm - 130W

Motherboard - Rs. 33500
• Asus Rampage II Extreme
E-ATX - LGA1366 - 3 x PCI-E 2.0

Memory - Rs. 16000 x 2
• Corsair Dominator 3X6G-1600
2GB x 3 - DDR3 1600MHz

Video - Rs. 32000 x 2
• EVGA GTX 285 [SLI]
1024MB DDR3 (per card)

Storage - Rs. 10150 x 2 + 30000
• WD Caviar Black [RAID1]2
1TB - 3.5" - 7200RPM - 32MB - WD1001FALS
• Intel X25-M
80GB - 2.5" - SSD

Optical - Rs. 1990
• Samsung SH-S223B12
22X - DL - SATA

Cooling - Rs. 4500 + 5400
• 3 x 120mm fans
• Cooler Master V8

Estimated total expenses (without monitor): Rs. 257,190 = $3190.95

I've researched very deeply into the power consumption, and think the PSU is enough, since I don't think the TDP will ever reach full capacity, and that by the time I go Tri-SLI I will have more power, but I'm not sure...:

Power Consumption:
762W Maximum [100% load + TDP]
914W Maximum [100% load + TDP + 20% Capacitor Age]
1029W Maximum [100% load + TDP + 35% Capacitor Age]

Damn, looks like it's going to be good. Your PSU should be enough too, everyone on here always saying go big or go home some times on PSU when you really don't need to.

Good luck
