Default Want to upgrade for a reasonable price

My specs are below.

As you see it is a HP so the mobo is locked and is junk. My video card is ancient and I want to speed it up.

Sooo. I was thinking of upgrading my motherboard, my power supply, and video card.

1) New mobo that has dual channel for ram, is overclockable, and 10/100/1000 lan. Anything else I should lokk for?

I don't really want to waste money on a new cpu, but a deal is a deal

2) Video card (AGP ) Whats a good bang for the buck? I only want Nvidia. 6600 gt 256 ? $189 @ newegg

3) What recommended psu and wattage? good fans too.

Should I spend money to get a Prescott? or can I OC my 2.8GHz Northwood?

Anything else would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to get a new case aswell, i did a similar thing to my Compaq and found the new Mobo did not fit in the case

It depends on the form-factor of the motherboard and of the Case....

1. I'm guessing your cpu is a sckt 478 so here is the board P4P800SE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131484

2. Graphics Card I would go with this Sapphire Radeon X800PRO it's a bit more but def. worth it..... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102598

3. PSU here is a 520w PSU it will work fine with your setup.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817148008

You can overclock just about any CPU .... so stick with that Northy and if it doesn't suffice get an upgrade on your CPU....

Edit: If you cannot OC your CPU you will need to get a new one.... I doubt it wont OC, unless it came with the HP....
