The best I could do. Pick a case of your own though.

Save $80 on TAX if you live outside of california, tennesse or NY/NJ and buy a semi decent case.

Corsair 750TX
Western Digital WD1001FALS (1TB)

If I were to build an Intel rig right now, here's what I'd get:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128358 ($115 after MIR)
CPU: Q9550 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115041 ($270)
Memory: G.Skill 1066 2x2gb - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231209 ($55...but lots of other great choices here)
Hard Drive #1: 1TB WDC Black - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136284 ($105)
Hard Drive #2 - 160gb WDC - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136075 ($42)
Case - Kinda personal preference...I like Cooler Master cases myself. Budget in about $100 for a good one
Optical Drive - Cheapest SATA DVD burner that you can find. Budget in about $25
Video Card: Evga 9800GTX+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130416 ($153 after MIR)
CPU cooler: Budget in $50-70 for a really good CPU cooler.

Grand total: $915 leaving some room to get some extra fans and a fan controller which is always nice to have.

Edit: I should also mention that there are some great budget cases too. I had a Cooler Master Elite case that goes for about $30-50 and is really nice for the price. That should give you some wiggle room in your budget.

Edit #2: Forgot you'll need a power supply. Corsair makes really good ones that aren't priced too badly. I'd suggest this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139004
If it's a little too expensive to fit your budget, this Rosewill should treat you right: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182030 (some people don't like Rosewill...but some of their PSUs really do work well for their price).

had same Rig, but instead of two HDDs i would go with one, and instead of that Video card i would go with XFX GTX260 Core 216 = 155$ AR

Yogi; the computer is planned for gaming, and I'll be playing games such as Starcraft 2 (asian), Dawn of war 2, Crysis, Crysis warhead, Far cry 2, and Bioshock.

e dogg; sorry, I meant replace. Like trade it out for a better one. Is that how it works?

I see what you're saying. Brand/model doesn't matter when you swap one card out for another as long as it's PCIe compatible (which most video cards are nowadays). All you do is pull the old card out and drop the new one in its place.

If you've never assembled a computer before, check out Youtube for instructional videos. There are a lot of them there that should give you some great "how-to" guidance.

If you're going to be playing Crysis and Warhead at anything above a 1440x900 resolution, I would get at least a HD4870 1GB or a GTX260 Core 216.
