If you're still not sure, have a look at 4770, same performance as 4870 but less power and heat.

interesting i did not know that. i bought a 4870 last night but i might put it in a different case. the matx i have runs reallllyyyyy hot.

Actually, the psu blows air out the back, so right near the PSU and CPU fan, there is going to be a lot of turbulence, since they are both trying to suck air from the same area. I tested everything myself and while yes most PSU's blow air out this one sucks air in for some odd reason.
