I am looking to build a new pc, mine is starting to get pretty old, but I am pretty sure I will be able to use some stuff from it (sound card/dvd burner/psu?)
Anyways, I will be moving back to europe and the hardware here in the US is just so much cheaper... so I need the pc to be compact enough to fit on board a plane (no full tower ATX) I need loots of storage, 3-5TB ~ and I think I will just keep the 1tb drive I have and ditch the other ones I do mulitask alot, so I need a lot of ram also, and I would prefer a quad core processor I will be using the pc for some mild gaming, but mostly internet use/graphics, (I have a 26' monitor, and I am planning to dual screen, so it needs to have a decent video card) and my last requirement is the ability to fully run windows 7 I am working on picking the parts now, any help would be appreciated edit: lol, I just noticed I have 999 posts, and 66 rep.. ![]() __________________________________- case:$89.99 Thermaltake LANBOX Lite http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133044 cpu: $279.99 Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202 mobo: $219.99 DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136066 ram: $84.99x2 (G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB)) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231223 video: $199.99 Radeon HD 4870 or $189.99 EVGA GeForce GTX 260 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161236 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130370 hd:$279.99 WD 2TB 32MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136344 and 1tb seagate currenty using +ssd $134.99 OCZ Vertex Series 2.5" 30GB SATA II MLC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227393 total: $1372 Will all of this fit? what kind of cooling should I get? will I be able to use my power supply?

avoid thermaltake. see if you could go for the EVGA Classified, and stick with the 260 but core216 version, they overclock really well.

I dont plan on overclocking the video card, this pc will probably run 24/7, and stability/silence is more imporant to me than 10% video performance gain
could you help me pick a nice micro atx case? I need at least two hd bays, and 2 drive bays.. and as I said before, it needs to fit on board a plane (carryon)

not a bad setup. if you need something from the u.s let me know. i have a friend in the uk i buy parts for and send to him, he pays for shipping and the part. it takes normally 2 weeks to get it to him, but still cheaper than he pays right now local.
