my 1st build so go easy. put together this rig together about 2 weeks ago but havent touched it til today. the case im using is temporary... dont really know what brand it is so dont ask haha. thought i get some pratice modding before my rocketfish comes in! just some cable management for now

this is how my case was when i was using this morning...

all the wires stuffed inside it

side window! was mod a mod done by someone else

computer gutted out. some of the holes are messed up because someone decided they wanted a dell motherboard inside there

templates for hole

tools i found around the house

first hole cut (no 2nd hole pic)

cable management (back) put tape around the holes so they dont cut my wires

front

thats all for now. i'll post more when i get more parts this computer

The only bad bit is the SATA cables at the bottom.

Looks much better.

Not bad at all, I'd paint it black (no Rolling Stones pun intended haha).

i got annoyed with the cables so i left them alone after about of an 1hr of messing around with it. i found it pointless since im going to replace the case with a rocketfish soon. its supposed to arrive thrusday but we'll see. thats when the "real" fun begins

Looks a lot better with some cable management.

I'd stuff the sata cables underneath the bottom hdd to fix that problem.

This would make it look way better. It also can never hurt to practice on a cheap case.

You could put the the 4 pin molex connector for the cd drive in the back. Turn the hard drives around & run the sata cables under the mobo & behind the case.

Kinda similar to a case I have.

so my spaceship has arrived! (rocketfish) gotta say, its not that great as everyone says... but i can work with it. its still a good case though. got some plans for it

brought it used
http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/0/7/9/6/3/1/webimg/267190657_o.jpg[/img]

front. i like the door alot!

and the door fell off as soon as i opened it... and there is a screw missing

dent at the corner... gotta pound that out

the inside. (the back of the tray has so little space... dont know how ima do cable management)

hdd cages. 1.) flip them around so the sata cables are on the other side or 2.) take one out and turn the other cage around 90

plan to cut a hole for a rad grill and add three 120mm fans there. can i do that even though im not water cooling?

thats all for not. i have graduation this week so no more pics till around mid week.

old case vs new case. thing is massive

so i fixed the door. used teflon tape and alittle hot glue to make the bolts on the door stay in place. but now a part of the door is scratching the front everytime i open/close it. might just remove it all together

the inside. i'll probaly cut holes for next week when i get my rad grill. might also get a new psu since the cables seem alittle too short to wire behind the tray

alright guys, need your opinion on these fan placements. got 4x yate loons med speed and the 3 lian-li fans that came with the case to play with. so where should i put them? going to use my ultra kaze for a push/pull heatsink whenever i get one.
