Hey, same fan controller! Let me know how you like it. I've had mine for about 3 months now, and the only problem I've had with it, is the first knob completely stopped responding. I have the front three fans all on the same knob via 2 Y 3-pin connectors and the rear two fans are tied together with 1 Y 3-pin connector. It wasn't a big deal, I just moved it to the third knob. But still it kinda bugs me.

I bet! I'll return it if it fails.

That's like the exact same reasons I picked it too. Plus I love the LCD display. TBH, the thermal probes are kind of a hassle, but they are effective.
__________________Yeah, it fit perfectly in my 1200. Just slid it in, screwed it down, and ran all the leads. Works nicely, except for the first knob.

One last thing (I like hearing other people's ways)...how did you attach the probes and where? I'm obviously controlling the chassis fans but I was thinking around the areas they're clearing. The vital parts have their own temp readings.

Probe 1: CPU (Just kinda tucked it near the chip and HSF, it's not 100% but it does give me a ~10C range)
__________________Probe 2: GPU (I used electrical tape on the bottom side of the card, gives me a ~5C range) Probe 3: HDD (I used electrical tape on the top side of the drive, gives me a ~5C range) Probe 4: RAM (I just tucked it in between two of the dimms)

I went slightly different. I have them near their corresponding fans mainly (just to remind me) and it's all chassis fans that are on the controller.
__________________Probe 1: GPU1 - On the back plate where the main chip is (Near the rear exhaust fan. About -10° out) Probe 2: CPU - On the heat sink block (Near the rear top exhaust fan. About -10° out) Probe 3: RAM - On one stick in the middle (Near the middle top exhaust fan) Probe 4: GPU2 - On the back plate where the main chip is (Near the bottom intake fan. About -10° out)

Got some time to build this beast so I thought I'd post the pics and some thoughts...and again... IAM planning on going WC (love the EK solution)
![]() I added an extra exhaust fan to the case at the top to get rid of extra heat and added an intake fan to the bottom. Both this and the PSU's intake fan have had filters fitted as I want the dust to stay as far away as possible. I also added a small 40mm fan to the Northbridge as I know there has been heat issues here. Better safe than sorry. The build went ok but a few things have pissed me off. The main being Corsair's PSU being geared towards top mounters as ALL of the cables are the wrong way around. So rather than a neat line...there has to be annoying loops. Would it have hurt Corsair to include cables made for those of us who bottom mount our PSUs? ![]() I think I've done a pretty decent job of the cable management but I would like to get a crimping kit as some of the leads are way to long. All the software so far has went like a dream and I'm running some Vantage stuff to see how it performs before any tweaking. I don't want to OC yet as I want to run it in but already I can see some mild stuff is in need. I'm an OC newbie so I'll go and have a look around here before. I've already done the easy CPU multiplier stuff just to get it to stock. It defaulted at 20x 133 so that took 2 second to get to how it should be. 24x. And I'll have to OC the ram as it's come in low for stock too. It's not showing as 1600. The 3rd 285 will be going on ebay likely so I haven't fitted it yet. I will have to so I can sell it with confidence but I'm afraid I'll plug it in and not be able to remove it lol Anywho...Vantage score is 25911 at 100% STOCK with this setup (only 2 285s). I'll try and post it up. Seem ok?

Does anyone know if there is a way to upload vantage scores from another machine?
__________________I have saved the file and I also have an account (ORB) with the registered vantage but I can see a way to upload. This rig isn't on the net for security reasons so this is why I'm asking ![]() If I can't do it like that I might have to connect it to the network

IIRC, doesn't Vantage take you to the 3DMark website to view your score? Couldn't you just send yourself the link and use that? Or is it a generic link and wouldn't show your score? Been awhile since I've benchmarked. Or couldn't you just take a screen-cap of the vantage score?
