If you don't mind me asking, how did you remove those optical drive holders? I want to remove mine to finish painting the inside of the case, but I don't want to break them. It seems to me that the tabs have to pulled off in order to get them out? Is this the case?

Sweet mods man I love the paint on the outside the red you added looks really nice. I like the idea of taking the HDD cage out for better cooling was it just rivets holding it in?

REP+ for a sweet case mod project.

Push them from right to left; they are held by the bump circled below so lift the edge of the plastic over the bump and it will slide free. Get ready to catch the bits.

Thanks rick
Two more rep and I'll be able to sell some extra parts

Yes there are like 6 rivets on the bottom and like 4 between the HDD holder and 5.25" optical drive holder that need to be removed. The bottom ones are easy, a 90 degree drill would make the middle ones much easier to remove.

I did the other side today.
I didnt wait long enough for the paint to dry before peeling off the tape, so it got a little screwed up-damn my lack of patience lol. But that side goes to the desk so its cool I guess. I can touch it up later if it bothers me, which it probably will

I was thinking about doing that today, but decided against it.

Looks good though

Soooo much red! The vents seem like too much, but that just my own opinion. Awesome paint job!
Did you try and scrape of some of the paint on the HAF logo? Xd

I turned around the fan on the front of the HDD cage so it sucks air thru the HDD's and exhausts it out of the front of the case instead of blowing warn air into the case. I aslo removed the dust filter and mesh grill for improved air flow (lights on this fan are much more pronounced now to
so is that the original HAF HDD cage? and you were able to squeeze a fan in there?? wow! pretty awesome if im correct.
