What kind of temps are you getting with your V10? I'm trying to decide between a V10 and a Megahalem, dunno which one to get right now.

nah- I removed the original HAF hdd cage (located under the 5.25" optical bays) and used a CM 4-in-3 hdd cage

I replaced the blue fan that came with it with a 120mm xiggy

Thanks

click my name, click 'view public profile', click system info tab-
temps are there.
I'm sure I would get i little better temps with the stock v10 fans on full tilt but I want as quiet as I can get so I went with the noctuas as they are virtually silent, have good stactic pressure and a 6 yr. warranty

Were screws or rivets necessary to fasten the CM 4 in 3 hdd cage?

You screw it in from the sides. the whole thing slides into 3 drive bays.

Okay so one thing. i saw bill owen do this for the wolfenstein build. to make the HAF lettering look aged. wet sand it a cut to make the letter spear just a tiny but and what not.

well its been a while since I have updated you guys - I've been busy with a ton of things. I have done some nice upgrades in the last week as I finished up my second build (a coolermaster stacker 830).

I put the 12 gigs of corsair 1600 dominator ran in the stacker and got myself 6 gig of corsair dominator 1866

I swapped my core i7 CO for an i7 DO

Swapped my LG blu-ray burner for a LG blu-ray burner/HD-DVD player

Swapped my Asus p6t deluxe for an EVGA Classified

Bought a new cpu cooler. Decided to go with the Megahalems- I should have researched more but the HAF was my first build so I give myself a pass

I'll either be selling the V10 or using it in my soon to get started 3rd build

Finally, I thought I might as well void some warrantys and do some lapping

Picture barrage incoming! ------

new cooler picts. Base had a definate hump in the middle. so I bought some sandpaper from the local auto parts store for $17.

After a little bit of sanding with 220 grit, the hump starts to dissapear
