I have this feeling I'm gonna live with some sort of regret if I end up putting that C0 chip in my computer. However, I really don't wanna have to wait until next week to start building. Are there any good and reputable retailers that sell the D0 for sure? Most of the places that guarantee it don't seem too good and are overpriced.

I got the C0 chip 2 months ago, and with my V8 and OCz freeze thermal paste i got it to 3.9 with HP on and 4.0 without HP on. HP only plays a difference in vantage tests and multi tasking really. I usually only game and when i want to impress a friend with my vantage score i just go into BIOS and set it back to 3.8 with HP on. don't worry if you are lucky you can get it to 4.0 if you use good thermal compound and a good fan on that true. I was thinking about buying another I7 but i just couldnt bother and put the money into the hd555 and a good soundcard. (it sounds so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!). but if you can change it back. My friend got a 4.3 OC with the true and a good fan. It's worth it.

Isn't it a hassle to take out the chip once I have it in my case with the heatsink and thermal paste applied?

Btw, how much voltage did you use to get to 3.9? Was it stable?

1.36 volts and yes it was stable but HP off since i don't need it for gaming and it makes everything run really hot. PM me if you want to know the exact specs of my 3.8 or 3.9 oc. I'm not running 3.9 since it just runs pretty hot and that 0.1 Ghz doesn't do much difference.

sigh...I think I'm gonna return the i7 and look for a D0 somewhere. I just don't think I'd be able to live with the regret later on since this is a big investment for me.

Anyone know of a place other than eBay that sells the D0 for sure? Microcenter is too far for me. Think Fry's has it?

If you look HERE some people would be willing to pick one up for you and ship it to you I am sure. They are discussing which locations have D0s in the latter half of the thread. They also mention Fry's will price match as well.

I was really looking forward to starting my build this weekend too. Guess I should've done my research before I bought it.
