some new parts came in today:
Zalman Fancontroller 2x IC Diamond Tubing 2x Acrylic Plugs w/Led holes for the eK Bay res ![]() unfortunatly I ordered a bunch of things from sidewinders as well, but they won't be shipped until the 7th. Apparently the people at sidewinders took the week of to go some some convention. I recently recieved this email: Quote:

While I'm waiting for the people at Sidewinders to get back and ship the rest of my stuff I figured I'd work on the custom Rad mount.
For those who are unfamilar with the Silverstone TJ-09, there is space at the top of the case where you are able to hang a 120x2 radiator. There are mounts you can buy for this (RadSupport09), but they do not support the 320 rad. For the MCR320 I have to make my own rad mounts to place the radiator at the top of the case. Initially I took an Angled 1/16" think 1" x 36" piece of aluminum and cut it into two 16" long pieces. ![]() It was made into two 16" pieces because at the time I did not have my MCR320 rad to use as a reference for measuring. I had to pull the dimensions off of swiftech's website. The MCR320 is 16" long and I thought that would be the best length because it leaves some room for error. Better safe than sorry. I started this early so the two 16" pieces could be shipped with the rest of my case for powdercoating. After recieving them back it was time to start drilling some holes. There were 6 screw holes (12 total) that I would beable to use to attach a sinlge mount to the radiator. They all measured .6cm in from the edge of the radiator. From the back end of the rad (opposite of the inlet/outlet) hole had to be drilled at the following lengths: 1.9cm; 12.4cm; 13.9; 24.4; 25.9cm; 36.4cm. These were marked on the inside of the angled aluminum. ![]() At first I only drilled the first and last holes: 1.9cm and 36.4cm. I hoped that this would be enough to hold the rad without movement. (It turned out to be fine) ![]() As reccomend by TDN1979 I used washers inbetween the powder and the screws. The end result was this: ![]() Because the aluminum was 1/2" this ment there was on overhang or gap between the side of the radiator and the aluminum that was perpendicular to it. This is what I want because it will allow me to use a longer screw to fasten the radiator to the top panel of the case. It will also keep that screw from scratching the side of the radiator. A bit blurry, but seen here: ![]() Now all that is left is to attach the rad to the top panel of the case.

If you look a little bit closer at the top panel you will see that there are places where I can put fan mounts to put a couple 120mm fans to blow air out the top of the case, there is mesh covering the top panel so that air can flow through.
![]() There are a total of 8 holes, 4 on each side, that I am able to use in order to mount the radiator to the top panel. I needed to purchase some longer screws, so I headed to the Depot and picked up some #6-32 x 1/2" round head slotted screws. They came in a package of 8 (perfect number) and were only 99cents. ![]() After I layed down the radiator I was able to allign it where I wanted to place it and uses a felt tipped pen to mark where I had to drill holes for the screws. I did't measue, I just layed the radiator down and stuck the pen through the screw holes and marked where to drill. There is another gap between the mounts built into the top panel and the mounts attached to the radiator. I started by screwing in each of the corners at opposite ends so that the spacing would be centered. After the radiator was centered I used the rest of the screws to securly fasten it to the top panel. ![]() And now I have my custom radiator mount for a triple rad inside of my TJ-09. ![]() ![]() And the best for last :

Part 2 of the rad mount has been updated.
Sorry to keep ya waitng. I just hate how some people break something like this up and before tou know it there is a 3page gap inbetween part 1 and part 2. I'd rather keep it one post after the other.
