Good parts. How much did they cost altogether? Thinking of upgrading in the next year (hopefully prices will go down a bit, or the 6-cores will be out by then ).

Anyway, the Antec issue is common, got the HAF 932 myself, which I would stick with (talking to the guy who said he wanted a 1200).

That said, your CPU should run just fine eve with OC. The temps being too high could be a few things.

-Paste
-Alignment
-Not enough/too much voltage

Just check those things and it should be good, even without a fan on the heatsink it should run at fairly low temps (not from experience, though, as I'm still not on i7).

Thanks. The parts cost around $1038 CAD including tax.

yeah it sucks..it didn't happened when i had my old LGA775 mobo. =(

the thing is the temps are already high when all the BIOS setting is stock..which is auto. I checked CPU-Z and the Vcore is only 0.952 - 1.112. i think the alignment is fine. i also added 2 washers which is about 2mm thick each and it's really tight

and i got the push/pull set up with kaze 3000rpm pushing it and a 25mm 2000rpm pulling ..

ill probably going to take the 25mm off when i'm going to shift the hsf the other way so i can close the lid

if your side panel is plain, you might hammer it to create a ( ....... but I don't think it will fit anymore... ;P

then you could maintain it and close the vacuum with duck tape but.....

this is a little ghetto
