im getting a new computer at the end of august for my present from my mom.
i was wondering, which you would get. as of now, i dont own a laptop, just a junky 7 year old desktop which is uber slow...would u sacrifice mobility but get the better component/price ratio, OR get a laptop and get mobility while sacrificing some performance, customization and future configurations and get a worse component/price ratio?? i was thinking a laptop so i can take it around. here is what i have in mind right now. http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np9280-...wconfigure=yes its got 6 gigs of ram, i7 920, 700 gbs of storage raid 0...around $2500... OR.....an UBER AWESOME GOOD GODLY $2500 i7 build.... even with a $150 case, $300 proc, $300 mobo, $200 hd, $150 ram, $50 cpu cooler, $300 screen, $120 psu and $400 gpu, the total is only...1970 dollars... im still left w. 600 bucks in avaliable upgrades... ![]() whats ur choice?? also, listing and showing examples of godly builds for the price would be awesome. im into graphic intense gaming and multitasking and everyday use. Thanks OCN!

Desktop imo
I don't like laptops and they are harder to upgrade.

So you need portability... why did you bother asking the question?

How about a $1800 i7 desktop and a $700 laptop?
