775 would still be alive for quite a long time my friend. i7 is being discontinued, if your just planning to game I don't see why you would go to i7, no games are that CPU intense, most games depend on your GPU power. I took the time again to make the list with vista premium but only 1 4890. http://secure.newegg.ca/Shopping/Sho...px?Submit=view

sorry I just love making list, anyways thats still a nice system and should see a nice boost. I am just saying, your taking cpu over gpu which isn't really necessary unless your planning to use some heavily cpu intense programs. I don't think any games benefit from 8 threads except GTA IV possibly.

@nemesi5 : People in the family uses it for video encoding, and will buy a 1080p camera. I know that 775 will still be good for a long time. I' just askign to enjoy current technology..like 2009 technology..not 2001. I love making list too ! I waited like 3 months before ordering this rig. I can't view your list tho. It says my cart is empty.

Like I said, I gues ill get better FPS than my athlon just THAT though makes me happy like no tomorrow! SMOOTH GAMEPLAY

I will change the graphics card later, I juste wanted to get something cheap to play games for now. I coulnd afford high-end graphx AND an i7 cpu/mobo.

@MiniTruckin: I'm a gamer and love big screen. but im used to a 17"..look at my sig rig. "ignorance protects from the need ".

I will replace the monitor later, too.

Congratulations!

Just remember to stay calm and take your time when it comes to handling the new hardware and installing it.
