Thanks, will do... its just i want this rig, i dotn want to wait longer for extra cash... as soon as i get soem tho, il be selling that gpu and getting 4890 and posibly crossfire with new HDD

I don't know why everyone is saying you will need an upgrade to game properly, the 4850 is an awesome card. We're all just a bunch of elitists here

. Seriously though, you should be able to max out most games besides Crysis or Far Cry 2 or something. Everybody is just a hater

i can't wait until you get your parts and try to OC it! there seems to be not much or none at all that have the p6t se mobo that i can compare to or at least none has reply to my help yet! lol

Yes, I'm a fanboy, dispite the fact that this is my first AMD CPU since my Athlon XP and I'm thinking of getting a Core i5/7 when I upgrade.

I'm simply saying that Phenom II's have similar/better performance (In gaming, which the OP said this is a gaming rig, well yeah) for much cheaper.

Proof?

It's well known that PhII can beat/even out Core i7 in gaming, i7 is pretty much a server chip so it owns at almost everything else.

Still, the OP will love the i7, so I hope he has fun playing games and stuff on it.

More like it's well known that the i7 965 walks away from the phenom II X4's. But looking at the price/performance, phenom II X4 obviously have the advantage. BUT it's up the the person buying it.

Better yet, look at your "proof" the i7 920 which is the cheapest and at only 2.6ghz is just a bit lower than the highest phenom II X4 chip.. and it's not that far from the price range of those 2.

You can't just say oh it's better/similar from just one source. I got a source where the i7 965 just simply no match for the phenom II X4.
