Get this video card, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150359, XFX 4890, sick deal, good price.

This ram is great, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220363. For mobo, go for the P6T.

check out my build it was $1058

http://www.overclock.net/intel-build...ex-i7-rig.html

If you change the CM 690 to a HAF, youll hit probably $1150

The 4890 is on sale, and it will beat the gtx 260 to shreds. For ram, go with the OCZ Platinum, 7-7-7-24, CAS 7, best bang for your buck at $90 for 3x2gb.

Go with the Asus P6T SE if going ATI instead of Nvidia, since the P6T SE lacks SLI but has Crossfire.

IMO opinion, your first choice of the gigabyte board is the better one. I would recommend trying to find room in your budget for the UD4R. The three is fine, but the 4 will have more options you'll want later down the road. The UD5R, is the best of the three but might be flat out to much for your budget. I would say to hold off on some of the build, get the UD5R, the D0 stepping i7, the power supply, and cooler. Wait on the GFX card, untill you can raise some more. If you plan on OC'ing, your going to want teh proven stability of the UD5R. The 4R, can also do it, but the 3R, is really plain jane budget.

Why would you waste money on a board that only does one of the mutli gpu setups. Thats such a waste of money. Leave your options open. Get a board that can do both. Makes for better resell value.

I want to stick with Nvidia for GFX.

Why? I was going for a GTX 260 core 216, but that Radeon 4890 is only $150... you can overclock it to make it better than a GTX 275 or 280.

core i7 with the P6T Deluxe V2 and OCZ RAM Combo.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.201647

And with your $1,200 budget, it's almost impossible to get a GTX 285.
I recommend one these PSU and Grafx combo's:
4850x2 +750w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.196209

or a GTX 260 + 950w
