Definitely purchased the 1GB version
Cheers for the advice, but he wanted to stick to Intel (fanboy much) and I love working on GBs Intel boards - plus, the mounting mechanism for the CNPS9700LED on AMD boards is ridiculous...
No chance of getting 4.4 stable but we're hoping for at least 4.0GHz....
I'll put some benches up sometime next week so stay tuned
Thanks for the rep

NP, its good to see aussies helping each other out, quite often vendors down here try to rip us off like crazy. I've had a lot of friends burned because they went to a store that charged them double the price, for half the build quality.

Thankfully you helped him out at least, I'm sure he appreciates it!

CQuinn, I know I know - disgusting, right? We were a bit strapped for time and couldn't be bothered of thinking a way around it so just ripped it out

A way around it would've been 30 seconds with a screwdriver :v
