ATI wants to make it in time for the Release of Windows 7, aka October 22nd. I'm pumped for both!

im just ordered another GTX260. DX11 is going to have no support for like half a year after its released so why bother with a $400 card that wont be used for anything.

i disagree there is no to know right now what these cards are about except dx11 and 1200 shaders not much esle, price? clocks? if you wait you might regret it
maybe not, but maybe
who knows they might be the best thing after sliced bread, but the 40's have not been in stock and there stands a chance that could happen to the 5800's
but then again maybe not jmo

Out of curiosity, how will you cool your components (which method) and will you be overclocking? If you let us know, we'll be able to suggest a cooling method that will help you obtain your desired clocks.

Looks like a nice solid build, I'd change the ram kit to a tripple channel kit as people have already suggested. Also, dual 4890's are not that extravagant given the recent price drops, and dx11 cards could still be ~5 to 6 months away. Thats half a year, not exactly an insignificant time in the life of a gpu.

Good luck with your build, it looks like a sweet system!

Ditto for both of the above. Also, for whoever linked: Combo Deal, ditto on that too. That combo is a great deal, and the Dominator ram works really well with this mobo. (I just built a PC with almost your exact specs...save for the ram, HD, and GPU...and case...but I had an extra.)

Also, if you're going air cooling, grab a Dark Knight...it does a good job, IMO.

I concur with the single 4890 suggestion until the Directx11 cards come out
If you want to save some more cash get these 3 instead of that combo.

I am new to overclocking. I don't know what method I will use. I guess I will just start with air cooling and see how far I can get. If I'm not satisfied, I may go with a watercooling route.

What is a Dark Knight? A fan?

Thank you. It is what this board is for, after all!

Should I go for DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) or the top of the line DDR3 2000 (PC 16000)?
