Very nice rig and watercooling setup!! But why didn't he get a i7 920 D0 and then spend the $700 he saved another video card?

If hes so damn rich, he shoulda got a Xeon W5580, supports ECC and ranks higher on 3DMark.

imo, that setup is really being held back by the single GPU lol
i know its for your friend, but still rofl
could've got a i7 920 d0 and 2 more 285s lol

He came from a QX9650 build, so he's I think he felt a 975 fit him well. He was kind of disappointed with the 965 and 975 results he was seeing, but it was too late he had already made the purchase. He may still sell it and revert to a 920 D0 if he isn't seeing the results he wants. I think he will feel good with 4.7/4.8 bench runs, 4.4/4.5 stable.

First post said he has 2 285 FTWs, and I wouldn't doubt it if he had third 285 on the way...

This is his first water cooled build, came from a QX9650 with the all cooper TRUE, the best air cooling. He felt like water was the next step and he wanted to do it right (Monsta & Heatkiller). Basically he's shooting for the best rig possible short of DICE & LN2; I think he's accomplished it.

im new t this overclock net thing...great build and i love the radiator at the back, i have to upload pictures of my antec 1200 and post a forum but i dunno how to.
