I'm looking to build a gaming rig for $500.
What can you guys come up with? I've been out of the computing components loop for too long .Thanks in advance for the help, and I am sorry I didn't really know where the best place was to put this thread. *Edit* OS, monitor, mouse, and keyboard are not necessary. You don't really need one since you can use the stock cooler but a aftermarket one is better.

With a $600 budget (I saw you say you had an additional $100) this would be my recommendation.
The 9600gso in the previous build would have been fine. But with the additional $100 I say you go with something close to what I priced. The 4870 will blow the 9600gso out of the water.
