__________________this is what it says: PXE-E61: media test failure Check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot agent. what cable should i be checking? or should i be going into the bios to setup boot device and then installing vista since before that it says no boot device found? so i am assuming i have to setup my BIOS?

1st check that your HDD is well connected and seen in bios. if everything is ok then on the bios disable network boot...
PXE is a network booting agent. hope this helps man.

__________________i followed what was said to do and everything went good, vista bootsup but for some reason installed pretty fast? but now every time i restart my machine i get the following error: Adapter 1 Disk Information: No Hard Disks Found. so is it my hard drive that is not being found or what? and how would i fix this? and i do not think it is a bad hard drive since my computer boots up vista right after that error message

Because you are on a 64 bit operating system. Program files houses the 64 bit programs while Program Files (x86) houses 32 bit applications.

That would be because you are running 64 bit windows. Programs that run 64 bit will be installed in the normal program files folder. Others will be installed in the x86
EDIT: Dopamin3 beat me to it.
