Silverstone use different ODMs for different PSUs, so the quality can vary a lot - even within the same series.

Looks nice, but it's the same price as the antec that's bronze 80+ certified and 50w more.

And I'll spend anywhere from $50 to $80 for a quality psu

im telling you, go for a corsair. that way youll have room for a higher end cpu or gpu. skip the gpu upgrade for now and buy a corsair. its worth it in the long run. i used onboard graphics and bought a psu first then my gts 250 because i couldnt afford both at once.

and sorry i only have a 300watt that i would sell. it would run your stock setup but not with an upgraded gpu. i think i want to keep it anyways for an htpc setup which im compiling

I AM skipping the gpu for now. I have no way of making money, so getting the money for a corsair is basically out of the question.

That is, unless everyone wants to donate money to my cause... :P

This would be my suggestion for a PSU:

OCZ ModXstream 500w

Plenty of power for your system, 80+ Cert, modular, and look at that price! Seriously, while Corsairs are the cream of the crop, there is nothing at all wrong with OCZ, Antec, and a couple of other brands.

I actually go 50/50 split on buying Corsair and OCZ. Look into it, for your system the one I linked you to is perfect. Heck, you could even get the stealthxstream 500w for the same price if you didn't want modular.

Wattage is not something you should look at. Look at the 12v amps, the higher the better.
